Find Comfort in Silence



Silence can be frightening for some. Probably because we avoid sitting in silence as our thoughts still happen whether still or not.


When we are thinking are we actually just listening to our thoughts? Is so, are they our thoughts or someone else's?


Thoughts move through our minds constantly. Clouds move across the sky constantly. Some stay for a while, other's disappear as quickly as they arrive.


Taking time to be still gives time to be mindful about which thoughts you are perpetuating and which are helpful. When we've developed a habit of self protection and not pondered in silence the quality of our self talk needs to be considered.


Having found that moving forward with purpose and disregarding the need for self reflection has been detrimental to self talk.

Taking time for self shouldn't be judged by self yet due to cultural and societal rules outside of self we see more reason to go within.


Sitting in stillness and or meditation may help to find peace within. Realising that when you sit in the seat of your existence everything becomes choice. Do you choose to love you? Can you see the beauty of your own lived experience? Do you choose happiness but innerstand and give grace to sadness?


Today is The Autumn Equinox this is a time time to sit and find comfort in your silence. Release any negative thoughts that no longer serve you. Love all aspects of self even your own perceived darkness implies light. Love your own ability to move and flow with the current of your path.
