Walking to Heal

Hello šŸ˜Š today we walked down towards the Sea

We are fortunate to live by the Sea at St. Leonards-on-Sea, the photo above was taken a little while ago šŸŒŠšŸ™ Walking is exercising my muscles and nerves in my lower back, after I had fusion surgery in 2021. This was delayed a year due to covid and prior to this surgery I'd have had one in 2016, and another in 2018. I thought that would be the final one in 2021 but I have now discovered that two screws are loose and may need replacing at some point!šŸ™„ It's been a long drawn out process getting fixed, or treated by a private group of consultants as my case was outsourced by the NHS. During this period in my life I struggled more with my mental health than ever before. Being in so much pain and just wanting it to stop, the explosions in your nerves,

šŸ‘†šŸ‘† Explosive nerves šŸ˜ it all adds too an extremely low mood... But that was then, 2yrs on, I've moved to the Sea šŸŒŠ to heal, I've had face to face CBT, cognitive behaviour therapy and I have began to focus more on loving myself. When you spend a long time, hearing negative comments about yourself and indeed I seem to speak to myself negatively on occasion too šŸ¤” you need to learn to speak kindly to yourself as you do to other's šŸ™ why are we taught its conceited to love yourself?? , it's completely wrong!!!


We absolutely have to love ourselves first to be able to love and support other's, taking care of yourself first is not conceited or wrong it is essential to realise that everything you need is within you.

Take time for yourself, if you live with pain, focus on your achievements in your day , I walked up a hill, no matter how small and remember how remarkable you actually are!!

Learn to love yourself daily, take time to relax I am still struggling with this but I have learnt changing my environment has helped a lot with my general mood. So I burn Incense all the time , and I am try to take more time for myself, baths with candles, salts and crystals
